Brasileiro: all-time winners 1959-2024\n\n The So Paulo-based club Palmeiras had won the Campeonato Brasileiro Srie A  also known as Brasileiro  11 times as of 2024, becoming the Brazilian soccer team leading the ranking of that championship. Santos and CR Flamengo followed in the ranking.

The club was founded in 1912 by the initiative of three sports enthusiasts from Santos by Raimundo Marques, Mrio Ferraz de Campos, and Argemiro de Souza Jnior as a response to the lack of representation the city had in football.
