ICC World Cup Format 2024\n\n The tournament will start with a round-robin stage, where each team will play nine matches, facing all the other nine teams once. In total, there will be 45 matches in this stage. After the round-robin matches, the four best teams will go to the semi-finals. Each group plays a round-robin tournament in which each team is scheduled for three matches against other teams in the same group. This means that a total of six matches are played within a group. The last round of matches of each group is scheduled at the same time to preserve fairness among all four teams.
