Put simply, it's not against the rules, but it's not a particularly nice thing to do. Poker players see slow rolling as a classless act and, therefore, against the spirit of the game (see video above). That's why people don't slow roll in poker. Slow rolling is considered a breach of poker etiquette and should be avoided in most situations, while Hollywooding is just a part of a poker strategy you could adopt. ------------------------------------------------------------------
If a player rolls an acey-deucey (= a 1 and a 2, also called an Ace and a Deuce), he plays the 1-and-2; then they choose any number from 1 to 6 and act as if they had just thrown a doublet of it; then that player takes another turn. In Poker, the Ace is the highest card and the 2 card (Deuce) is the lowest. However, the Ace can also be used as a low card, with the value of 1. |
