Fontana is a city in San Bernardino County, California, United States. Founded by Azariel Blanchard Miller in 1913, it remained essentially rural until World War II, when entrepreneur Henry J. Azariel Blanchard Miller (5 September 1878 13 April 1941) was an American farmer, rancher, and developer credited with founding the city of Fontana, California, in 1913.
